Education: Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, or equivalent experience
Licensure/Certification: None
Experience: 5 years recruitment, healthcare sales, or marketing, plus
3 years in a senior leadership role

Essential Job Functions:
- Directs and oversees all activities related to the recruitment of blood donors for the organization.
- Assures that messaging used for the recruitment of donors is developed to meet targeted collection goals and for product optimization.
- Designs and directs a comprehensive donor recruitment and retention plan for the organization.
- Counsels and evaluates the performance of direct reports. Oversees processes related to the coaching and mentoring of recruitment management staff to assure a well-functioning team.
- Oversees the selection of donor recruitment staff and assures that selected personnel have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the requirements of the job.
- Meets with direct reports to discuss performance, goal attainment, annual and monthly booking practices, projection accuracy and related recruitment goals and standards.
- Assures mobile recruitment calendar is prepared so that monthly production, projection accuracy and blood drive efficiency goals are achieved.
- Manages the data base of blood donors and donor groups in order to assure successful strategies to meet collection goals, standards, and efficiency measures.
- Meets established collection goals and standards through effective training, leadership, and product maximization strategies.
- Works collaboratively with Community Relations, Donor Services and Volunteer Services to promote and execute blood recruitment activities including staffing, communications and recruitment and retention strategies.
- Tracks, trends, and analyzes monthly fixed site and mobile recruitment data. Reports findings to COO and CEO. Develops corrective action plans for improvements or changes to recruitment operations.
- Oversees the process for the investigation and timely resolution of internal and external customer service issues.
- Prepares and adheres to annual budget. Monitors, analyzes, and provides justification for variances if they occur.
- Complies with purchasing and expense control procedures. Assures cost effective purchase of recruitment supplies and materials.
- Participates in activities to further professional development.
