Host a Blood Drive
Hosting a blood drive is a wonderful way for your group to get together and make a difference in your community. Your blood drive helps maintain a safe, adequate supply of blood products and positively impacts the lives of local patients in need – as well as their friends and families. We can set up a portable drive inside your facility’s conference room, classroom, cafeteria, etc., or bring our bloodmobile to park outside your business, organization, or school.
Why is it important?
Having an adequate supply of blood products on the shelves for local hospitals is vital every day, especially when the community’s medical resources are operating at full capacity. That is why your business or event can make a lifesaving difference by hosting a blood drive.
Who can host a blood drive?
We proudly work with groups of all sizes to ensure a successful drive because we know that your efforts are essential for the lives of people and families right here in our community.
What are the requirements to host a blood drive?
- Offer a suitable location.
- Provide a chairperson and volunteers to promote the drive and recruit donors.
- Pre-schedule people who have committed to donating.

Make A Financial Gift
SunCoast Blood Centers is the primary source of blood and blood products for all the region’s major hospitals and healthcare facilities. However, we depend on the support of the communities we serve as much as they rely on us. In addition to the generous donations of blood we receive and provide those in need, we rely on community support through tax-deductible financial contributions.
Your financial gift will make possible the resources needed to save lives. Specifically, contributions to SunCoast Blood Centers support our efforts to:
- Obtain and maintain state-of-the-art testing equipment to ensure the safest possible blood supply.
- Acquire collection instruments to enhance donor comfort and collection efficiency.
- Reach more blood donors in the communities where they live, work, and worship.
There are many ways for you to give. Contributions may be designated to memorialize or honor individuals, benefit a specific project, or support the current area of greatest need. On behalf of the thousands of local patients who will benefit from your generosity, we thank you!

Participate in a Clinical Study
Help Improve Care for Future Generations
Did you know that many clinical trials are delayed every year because researchers are unable to find enough people to participate in ground-breaking clinical research?
You can be the difference.
Volunteers like you play an integral part of the research process. People with a particular disease as well as healthy people both can play a role in contributing to medical advances. Without volunteers, clinical studies simply would not be possible.
Doing Our Part, Together
SunCoast Blood Centers is proud to bring new hope to patients through clinical studies. By registering with Bio-Linked, you can help researchers identify if you qualify for studies that will assist in developing new cures, advancing research and saving lives. You can choose to participate as a paid donor and/or as a volunteer.
We encourage you to consider getting involved by registering.
