Thank you to our donors for making our recent blood drive on March 6th was an outstanding success at ABC7! Your dedication and hard work have truly made a difference in our community.

Drive Results

We are thrilled to report that across our bloodmobile locations and fixed sites, we served a total of 181 donors. While not all were able to donate, we still collected 129 units of blood, which means we have the potential to save 387 lives! This is an extraordinary achievement that will have a lasting impact on patients in need.

ABC7 Contribution

The ABC7 location alone brought in 35 donors, what’s particularly exciting is that 17 of these donors were first-time participants, and 10 were individuals who hadn’t donated in over two years. This influx of new and returning donors is crucial for maintaining a stable blood supply.

Not only do our employees work for SunCoast, but they are also affected daily by the need for blood donations in their personal lives. 

Impact

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and your work has directly contributed to meeting this constant demand. The blood collected will be used for various critical needs, including surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. We still currently are in a critical need for O+ and O- blood as the collections.
